About Bookhardt Botanicals

Bookhardt Botanicals is the result of years of study, passion, and community. Nursery owner Sam Bookhardt received his first carnivorous plant, a "Yellow Trumpet" pitcher plant (Sarracenia flava) in 2003 from a local farmers market and has been cultivating them ever since.

Our drive is to build on the outstanding colors and shapes inspired by the pioneering growers before us. This entails breeding and distributing novel, horticulturally desirable plants in order to pivot general perception from niche cult status to ornamental marvels, rivaling the beauty of orchids.
